Treatment Options

Most orthodontic treatment is done using traditional braces. Braces are bonded to the teeth and act as a “handle” so that the wires can move the teeth. Braces come in traditional metal, tooth-colored or clear, and gold.

Aligners are a way to straighten teeth without using braces. A series of clear aligners is used to move the teeth little by little into their proper position. They are more esthetic than braces, removable for special occasions, oral hygiene (brushing and flossing) is easier, and they are easier on the cheeks and lips because there are no braces and no wires.

Aligners are not an option for every patient, but ask Dr. Baird if it will work for you.
